Dylan Hansan Joins FSC Men's Soccer Team for 2016

Apr 14, 2016

Head coach Ryan Sniegoski has announced the addition of Dylan Hansan to the Florida Southern men's soccer program, bringing the list of total new recruits to 11. Hansan is a center midfielder from Orland Park, Illinois.

"I am thrilled to announce the addition of Dylan Hansan to the Mocs Soccer Family! I was fortunate enough to see Dylan play at a local college showcase and thought he was the best player on the field," said Sniegoski. "Dylan has a very high soccer IQ, loves the game and plays it the right way. He is very technical, confident on the ball and positive with his movements. I think Dylan will fit in perfectly with our style of play and will compete with a very strong group of players come August. I cannot wait to get this group together."

The son of Wally and Cheryl Hansan and one of three children in his family, Dylan will be graduating from Carl Sandburg High School this spring where he has played the last four years for head coach Desi Vuillaume. As a senior this year, he was Carl Sandburg's MVP and an all-conference selection while leading the Eagles to the regional title.

Dylan has also spent the last two years playing for Cruzeiro Chicago USA in the Northern Illinois Soccer League where he was coached by Pedro Figueiredo. In addition to those teams, Dylan played with the Southwest Soccer Club from 2005-13, coached by Sena Halilovic, and has traveled to Croatia, Slovenia and Brazil for training with various academy teams in those countries.

With his club team the last two seasons, Dylan captained Cruzeiro Chicago to a tournament title in the 2015 New York Cup and a semi-final appearance in the 2015 Las Vegas Showcase. He also played in the 2015 Dallas Cup and the 2016 IMG Boys Showcase. In addition to those tournaments he won a regional championships in the United States Futsal Federation in 2016.

Off the field, Dylan has accumulated more than 125 hours of community service as well.

"I'm choosing Florida Southern because of the great academics and the amazing business school," said Hansan. "Also, when I visited the school, the players made me feel at home with their family-like approach on and off the field. From that I knew I would want to be a part of the team and spend my college years at FSC!"
